The Lutheran Leader's Companion is provided for pastors, teachers, seminary students and other church leaders within WELS and partner churches of the Confessional Evangelical Lutheran Conference. Access is granted on application and after review of the credentials you supply.
• Your account is personal to you. Please do not share your login.
• Tell us if the information you gave when applying changes, particularly your congregation or church body.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You may download, print and use resources for non-commercial theological study, teaching and ministry within your congregation, school or church body. You may make copies for the people you serve.
You may not redistribute resources outside that setting not by forwarding, not by posting online, not by uploading to another site or file-sharing service. Where a colleague would find a resource useful, please send them to lutheranleader.com to request access rather than sending the file. This is not about restricting the gospel. It is about knowing who holds what, so that corrections reach readers and so we can keep faith with the publishers who allow us to host their work.
Copyright and attribution notices must remain intact.
Translating or adapting a resource for distribution requires our written permission first. Two reasons. Doctrinal material carries meaning that a loose translation can lose, and this platform exists to serve confessional churches. And much of what we host is licensed to us for specific languages we may not have the right to authorise more.
Please ask. We will help where we can, and a translation may already exist.
Nothing here restricts you translating a passage aloud, or for your own study, or for a single class.
Some resources include content owned by third parties and carry their own terms, stated on the resource. Where those terms differ from this page, the terms on the resource govern.
If you submit a presentation, translation, review or other material, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to host it, display it, and make it available to other participants, and you confirm you have the right to give that permission.
We may decline or remove contributions, including on doctrinal grounds.
Some events use automated interpretation. It is an aid, not an authoritative record, and it will sometimes be wrong. Do not rely on it for doctrinal precision.
We may suspend or withdraw access where these terms are not kept, where credentials cannot be confirmed, or where an account appears to be shared. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
This is a pilot. The platform is provided as it is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and resources may be revised, replaced or withdrawn sometimes because a publisher asks us to.
We will post changes to this page and update the date above. Substantive changes will be notified to registered participants.
